I have had nu wave for four years without problems You must wait until dome is cold before immersing it in water My extended family also use nu waves and again without problems I have replaced the dome due to the cloudiness it becomes but have been told that occurs when cooking pieces of meat so I now use the cloudy dome when cooking my meat but I have never used my oven since getting nu wave apart from cooking pastry blind as new wave does not cook the base of pastry well when making flans pies etc If you get problems surely you can get replacement under the guarantee
